V-UNITE SOLUTION

We wanted to create a fun and engaging environment where students could showcase their projects and could present before a live judging panel. We incorporated an area where the students’ projects could be voted on, students had access to evaluation forms and engaged in team building exercises within the auditorium. We also hosted a virtual escape room session that the students loved. The students met with each other in the networking lounge, and you could see how much they were enjoying engaging with each other, and sharing how quickly they had escaped from the escape lounge

The Gamification to win prizes encouraged the students to interact with Exhibitors, see the projects submitted for judging, and network with each other. It got quite competitive!

RESULT

Over 1100 unique booth clicks and 1100 document downloads. The private judging was very successful. Having the ability to keep the students’ Exhibition Hall closed to attendees until post judging was a bonus and built-up anticipation.

The event met all their objectives.

Client Feedback

"This year they decided to have another virtual event. They wanted the platform to be engaging, interactive and animated to ensure engagement among students. The V-Unite platform has been so flexible and exactly what they needed with private judging for the exhibits of their students to showcase what they learned and how they can implement this knowledge in their future careers. Post judging students were allowed to see all the projects and invite their friends and family to see the exhibits themselves. The platform made it super easy and convenient for everyone. The chatrooms enabled the faculties to use just one platform to check on the students and communicate with them rather than opening their emails. Gamification through the leaderboard focused attention on students visiting the booths. Resetting of the leader board each morning incentivised the students to compete for the points and encouraged more opportunities for the students to learn. Overall. From the individual designing of the booths, the system is very easy and user friendly. Students are 6th to 9th graders and it’s quite impressive that they were able to design a booth. From the visitors point of view, they enjoyed the experience, they were impressed and appreciated the effort behind making the event way better. The judges loved the virtual booths and they liked the dynamics of the booth being innovative, having the opportunity to add in more information and websites being linked. Relatively easy to navigate once the plan was set. So many different options to do inside the platform."
