Client: The 2nd World Congress on Confocal Microscopy

The 2nd World Congress on Confocal Microscopy is an established group of dermatologists, pathologists and dermatopathologists who meet annually to review, and update on the speciality of confocal microscopy. This global meeting usually meets live in a main venue and attracts international speakers, and delegates from around the world.

V-UNITE SOLUTION

The interactive gaming function was a key element of the event, and brought debate, collaborative competition and a bit of fun to the event.

3 time zones, 113 speakers. We could provide a 3 day agenda that was globally accessible which meant that we could sell tickets to all delegates globally and provide education to all parts of the international confocal community. We were also able to deliver a complex 3 day agenda, as well as an on demand Oral abstract track.

RESULT

Here are some of the highlights of the event:

We were able to deliver 116 lectures provided by 113 speakers, from 22 countries, across 3 global time zones, to 400+ delegates over 3 days.

"The V-Unite platform gave us the ability to continue with our event. The 2nd World Congress on Confocal Microscopy had already been postponed in 2020, due to the outbreak of the pandemic. Without the platform we would have had to cancel the event in total. What we were able to achieve was an event packed with content and presentations, that meant our delegates could interact in live time with key speakers and experts, via the chat function. Our exhibitors, without whom we would not have been able to run the event, were able to directly message and meet with delegates on their stands, and we were able to run the event in 3 different time zones so that our delegates were able to join at a time that best suited them. The event was a total success, and although I do not think anything will ever replace the impact of meeting in person at a live event, we believe that we will move to a hybrid model, as it provides a platform that is accessible to all."
